Educator

As an Educator at the Reading Science Center you’ll bring science to life for children through engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences. This part-time role (up to 25 hours/week) involves leading hands-on STEM activities during field trips, after-school programs, public hours, birthday parties, scouting events, and outreach programs. Educators also guide visitors through exhibits, ensure a safe and supportive environment, and contribute to the Center’s mission of sparking curiosity and a lifelong love of science.

Museum Docent

As a Museum Docent at the Reading Science Center you’ll support the museum’s mission of fostering a love of science by creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children and families. This part-time role (up to 25 hours/week) involves guiding visitors through hands-on exhibits, assisting with field trips, after-school programs, birthday parties, scouting events, and public open hours. Docents also support daily operations such as registration, gift shop sales, and field trip preparation, helping ensure a fun and meaningful experience for all guests.

Director of Educational Programming

We’re seeking an experienced educator to lead and grow our science education programs. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery, and evaluation of all instructional programming, both on-site and in the community. The ideal candidate brings a passion for STEM education and a commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences for all students.
