Exhibit floor volunteer – Greet and assist guests in exploring our exhibit floor.
Cell lab volunteer – Assisting guests with cell lab exhibits, including some limited laboratory prep work.
Educator – Provide educational programming to after-school, weekend and summer camp visitors.
Office assistant – Assist director with data entry, filing and other clerical duties.
Exhibit maker – Use of carpentry, mechanics and electronics skills to build new exhibits.
Female STEM representative – Our Sisters in Stem program introduces different areas of STEM to 5th grade girls. We are always looking for females to come in and share their careers and experience with the girls.
Committees that need your expertise:
Marketing Committee – Works to develop a marketing plan for the Reading Science Center. Marketing plan will efficiently educate the community about the RSC as well as promote events, programming, birthday parties and field trips using all strategies available within the marketing budget. Members of the committee will work with our Marketing and Social Media intern to execute the plan.
Volunteer Committee – Ensures a full staff of competent, knowledgeable, and personable staff who leads guests to an optimal experience while visiting the Reading Science Center. From growing our programing and Cell Lab events to supporting ongoing training efforts and possibly assisting with our recruitment efforts.
