We are located at 645 Penn Street in Reading, PA. Our main entrance is on the north side of Penn Street, next to Dunkin Donuts and just across the railroad tracks from the DoubleTree Hotel.

Pricing:  Admission is $10 per person. Children 2 and under are free. 

We accept both cash and credit cards.

Parking

We validate parking in the Double Tree Convention Garage. Please bring your license plate number and check in with a staff member as soon as you enter the Reading Science Center.

 

There is also a small parking lot located directly across the street from the Reading Science Center where patrons can pay for parking at a kiosk or through the ParkMobile App.

Code of Conduct

Within normal Reading Science Center operations and other professional meetings, events, webinars, and projects organized by the Reading Science Center, we are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone attending or participating. We do not tolerate harassment of people in any form, and we empower all participants in our community to actively engage in creating a friendly and safe environment for all.

 

This Code of Conduct is part of the Reading Science Center’s mission to champion and support STEM, support lifelong science learning, connect science and society, engage diverse communities, and partner to tackle local STEM career pipeline challenges. The Reading Science Center holds fundamental values to seek out and engage in diversity of ideas, perspectives, backgrounds, disciplines, knowledge systems, and approaches. 

 

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. While we have docents available to assist with your experience, children must be accompanied by an adult while in the Reading Science Center.

 

As an attendee at the Reading Science Center and other off site events or programs organized by the Reading Science Center, I will:

  • Conduct myself with integrity, respect, honesty, and credibility.

  • Approach all events and interactions in accordance with the highest ethical standards of professionalism and personal conduct.

  • Avoid all activities that will cause damage to or discredit the Reading Science Center, or myself.

  • Embrace the Reading Science Center’s diverse community of professionals and learners, and be inclusive of all audiences in my presentations, demonstrations, and conversations.

  • Seek help from the Reading Science Center staff if I do not know how to fulfill any of the stated actions.

 

This Code of Conduct is in place to protect the safety of all participants. Contact, language, or imagery of a violent, threatening, sexual, discriminatory, demeaning, or disruptive nature is not appropriate for any in-person or online project venue, including talks, workshops, parties, and online forum or media. If you witness any misconduct of this code, please report it to any Reading Science Center staff member and to the Executive Director.

 

If an infraction occurs the child, group, or family could be asked to leave the RSC.  No refunds will be provided if this action occurs.
