Our center features more than 50+ STEM-themed interactive exhibits in a vibrant 7,000 square foot space.
The Reading Science Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization created by volunteers from many sectors in the Reading area coming together to provide young people with a creative and fun space to learn, explore and experiment. Our mission is to foster the love of science through exciting and experiential STEM education for the Greater Reading community, especially our youth.

Through both formal and informal science education, the Reading Science Center promotes careers in science, technology, engineering and math (“STEM”) careers, helping to address the shortage of people entering such careers and in turn helping the local economy.
Reading Science Center programming compliments and augments efforts by school districts, government agencies, and other non-profit organizations in promoting STEM careers to youth and provides a centralized location to advance science education within our community.

We rely completely on volunteers to help us share our mission of fostering a love of science through exciting and experiential STEM education. No matter what you have to offer in time and talent, we can find you a volunteer position that can help us make Berks County’s first Science Center a huge community success.
